International Tours and Missions Every year teams and individuals take the Gospel to different parts of the world through the worldwide language of football. A typical tour will see a team of about 15 footballers stay in a host town and play a number of teams from the surrounding area; sometimes there will be an opportunity to run a soccer school for children. It is not just in the presentations and conversations that take place that we aim to share Christ but in our conduct and attitude particularly on the field we trust His light will shine. We are known in the Dachstein Valley in Austria, where our longest running tour visits each year, as the 'joy people'
In recent years, SportsReach has begun pioneering sports ministry in less-developed countries and have used a mixture of evangelistic missions and bible teaching along with playing football and netball matches and running soccer schools. Recent successful missions have been to Kenya and Malawi.

Austria - 11th - 25th May 2012 - FULL WHERE: Schladming (www.fackeltraeger.at) COST: £550 (plus flights and airport transfers) We will be based at Tauernhof Bible college which is in the beautiful town of Schladming, at the foot of the Dachstein Mountain Range. Not only does this tour offer plenty of football matches (8-10 games) on some of the most scenic pitches in Austria, but it also gives those who go a taste of Bible school at its best, as we join students on campus and in lectures daily. We also share quality time in our team devotions along with taking the good news of the Gospel to local teams all along the Dachstein Valley. If you love football, have a desire for studying the Word and a heart for sharing the Gospel, then this is the trip for you!
France- 28th May - 4th June 2012 WHERE: Le Chateau St Albain (www.chateaustalbain.com) COST: £285 (Plus travel) This year we are based for the very first time at Le Chateau St Albain near Macon. As well as playing against a couple of local teams in the town of Macon and linking with a local Church, we will be working (playing approx another 4 games) in the beautiful region of Charolles, famed for its charolais cattle. Team devotions are a great way to bond together as we look at the Bible together each day and we have matches each evening, giving opportunity to testify and share the Gospel in this needy land. This is the ninth year we have taken a team to France and we are really looking forward to see God at work in and through the team!!
Germany Ladies- 19th - 24th July 2012 WHERE: Haus Barnabas, Black Forest (www.haus-barnabas.com) COST: £220 (Plus flights) This will be the second SportsReach ladies tour to the Black Forest. Every morning the team will meet for devotions. For the rest of the morning there will be football and netball training or other outdoor activities organised. There will also be some free time. In the afternoons there will be football matches against local teams and after each game a member of our team will share testimony of what Jesus has done in their life and another will share the Gospel. There will be 2-3 games.
Austria Classics- 28th September - 5th October 2012 WHERE: Schladming (www.fackeltraeger.at) COST: £340 (plus flights and airport transfers) As with the tour in May, we will be based at Tauernhof Bible college which is in the beautiful town of Schladming, at the foot of the Dachstein Mountain Range. The 'Classics' tour offers the same opportunity to join the students at Tauernhof in their Bible school lectures each morning as well as having daily team devotions and sharing times. There will be 3-4 games against veteran teams from the Dachstein Valley, after which we will share the Good News of the Gospel. There will also be plenty of free time to enjoy the majestic mountains, to sample the local ice cream and have a coffee in Schladming.
